Halloween: Supergirl and Burger

Mason looks pretty happy wearing his first Halloween costume. It’s difficult to discern, but he’s suppose to a hamburger – you can see his bun with the sesame seeds This burger comes with extra drool, folks. Supergirl there is actually our mild-mannered daughter in disguise.

Anyone in need of saving? Supergirl is ready to take flight ! Don’t expect much ’cause Sophia can only jump a few inches off the ground at the moment.

Halloween Carving

Sophia had a great time helping Mommy with the pumpkins this afternoon. She was hesitant reaching into the pumpkin at first – claiming that it “smelled”. But after a little coaxing, she was up to her elbows with pumpkin innards. She went after her little pumpkin after cleaning out the larger one.

Our accent wall color happens to be called pumpkin.

I’m not sure who purchased the clip, but isn’t it adorable?

Mason: 6 months baby session

Mason turned 6 months old earlier this Month so the Chan-Clan headed out to The Huntington Library for a family photo session. Going to the Library has become a tradition now since we also went there when Sophia turned 6 months old.

Newborn: Mason

Hello everyone,

I am ecstatic to announce the birth of my son Mason. Mason was born this morning at 9:57am and weighed in at 6 lbs and 14.8 oz. He measures 20 inches long. Both mother and son are fast asleep as I write this blog. That dang leg compressor of Cindy’s is keeping me awake. Stay tuned for some photographs later.

Let’s start off with photographs of Sophia I captured the day before. I decided to post her images as well since they were in same memory card. Sophia greets me everytime I arrive home from work and this past Friday was no exception. Only this time, she ran to me with the pair of Hello Kitty boots. She looked so adorable.

The Grandparents tell us that Sophia was super-good and excited to come see her little brother for the first time. When she arrived, Sophia tells me that “he wants me to hold him” while pointing to Mason.

Baby Photography: Hanna’s 1st Birthday

Hanna’s first birthday is coming up and her parents wanted to string together photographs of her with clothespins and ribbons to use as an art piece for her birthday party.

How adorable does Hanna look in her outfits?

Cute pose! Hanna actually doesn’t like hats too much. I captured the photograph below as she reached up to pull off the hat.

Sophia: First Birthday

Sophia turned one at 8:40 pm today. She’ll celebrate her first birthday tomorrow with a small group of family and friends. Below are the first photographs of my one year old daughter.

It’s difficult to believe how fast the days have passed. Just one year ago, I was anxiously standing in the hallway immediately outside the OR. The Doctor said he would call for me when Sophia is born. I heard a cry and then another and rushed in to see the nurses cleaning my daughter. I checked to make sure Cindy was okay then returned to take the very first photographs of Sophia barely minutes old. Sophia is now one. She can stand and take small steps. She has a small set of vocabulary and can say mamma, grandma, bird, flower, food, and a few others in Chinese. She comprehends a lot more than she can vocalize at the moment. She even clenches both her fists and throws a tantrum! My, how time flies.

1st Christmas

Season’s greetings everyone! The Chan clan had our first Christmas tree photo session this year. Sophia and Mommy were very cute. However, all the images where I tried to embed myself into were utter failures. I had to set up the tripod, get into the shot, and hope for the best. Lots of times, Sophia was just looking everywhere except at the camera since there was no one there to grab her attention.

1st taste of solids. Earth’s Best

Sophia started on solids a few weeks ago. She even had her first Thanksgiving meal, a turkey and gravy purée. Her favorite meals so far are the sweet potatoes and the bananas from Earth’s Best.

Sophia’s 1st Halloween party

The youngest member of the Chan-clan will be going to her first Halloween party later this afternoon. Momma-chan recently joined a “mother’s group” in the neighborhood and one of the members is throwing a little party for all the kids.

Sophia is so excited to be wearing her costume. It’s a surprise costume and not the Fairy or the Pink Monster. Thanks to everyone that voted. Momma-chan decided to return both and purchase the one Sophia will wear for Halloween.
