Maternity: Janet, John & Hanna

I had the pleasure of photographing Janet’s maternity session this past Sunday.  Some of you following this blog may recognize the amazing blue room from Janet and John’s wedding.  I just love color.  Janet’s pink outfit really pops against the contrasting blue wall.

Hanna is due very soon. We can’t wait to meet you.  Stay tuned for her baby session.

This is a really cute set of details. Janet’s got a good baby-bump.

Pregnant and still sexy!

B2B: Vina & Virgil maternity

Virgil is a cool dude and Vina is a cute and petite mother to be. That was my initial impression when I met them about one month ago to discuss my Bump to Birth program. Mothers get two photography sessions, the first one during their pregnancy and the second one within one month after the baby’s birth. The program gives parents two sessions for the price of one. I can’t wait to meet and photograph their daughter, Cara Alyssa. We’ll most likely create a baby book to showcase the two sessions together.

Vina also happens to be a maternity nurse and was a constant source of wisdom during our own pregnancy. We had several email conversations just on our babies (hers and my wife’s). At one point in the maternity ward after our daughter was born, my wife asked if I told Vina about the big news?! Cindy wants to meet Vina.  Sophia and Cara can be friends. The six of us (two sets of parents,  and babies) definitely need to get together and chill. We’ll have a grand ole time watching the drool fest.

Virgil was extremely helpful and encouraging throughout the session. I tried to include him as many photographs as I could, but as you can see, Virgil was often left holding the bag.

How cute are Vina and Virgil, huh? Be sure to stay turned for the sequel session with their daughter.

Sophia

I wrote about our newest employee, Sophia, several months back. Well, we finally have her mug shot at 24 weeks old; you can see her profile and even her footprint below.

Sophia 24 weeks

Sophia is our first child so every experience was new. I was in awe watching Sophia kick and move around as the ultrasound technician examined my wife. It was difficult to believe that I played a part in this miracle.

Sophia seemed to like the attention. She struck several poses, played with her toes and even stuck out her little tongue throughout the photo session. I so wanted to capture a few of the ultrasound images.  The technician was behind the machine this time, but I’ll have a lifetime of photo opportunities with my little darling.

My wife is going through the “nesting” phase of pregnancy. She’s starting to decorate the room and even designed some hair clips for Sophia.

Hand-made berets

Cindy and I were having some fun with her pregnancy and took some photographs of her belly.
