Bridges Golf Club: Serena & Parker Wedding

I traveled up north this weekend for Serena and Parker’s wedding in San Ramon, Ca. I anticipated air travel woes in consideration of the Thanksgiving holiday, but to my surprise the experience was trouble free.

Their wedding was held at the beautiful Bridges Golf Club. The celebration was an intimate affair with only close friends and family. The Asian-style banquet will be in January with about 250 guests. I’ll fly up again to photograph the event.

The weatherman predicted a 90% of rain on Saturday.  The rain was very heavy at times and Serena worried about the weather putting a damper on the celebration as well as limiting our opportunities for photography. Despite the weather, everyone had a great night of eating, dancing, and celebrating. We maximized the 10% chance of dry weather and produced a great set of images that Serena and Parker will cherish for a very long time.

I  trekked through a forest of trees, shrubs and mud to find the vantage point below.

Parker, who is a photographer, already has a nice set of gear, but decided to borrow my second camera while I was distracted photographing his Bride.

I noticed throughout the night that Parker’s parents would step outside for a breather. I don’t know if it was the fresh crisp air after a rain that drove them out or they simply wanted to steal a kiss. I kept my eye on them and captured the moment below.  It is inspirational to see how much love remains after 27 years. I hope these lovebirds don’t mind this post of them.

Family Xmas Portraits

Check out these adorable children all decked out in Christmas colors.  Some kids cried, some kids laughed, and some even fell off the bench (he’s okay), but I’m fairly certain we all had a great time.  I can’t wait to see the Christmas cards.

Be sure to book your sessions early so we have sufficient time to order the enlargements in time for the Christmas holiday.

Long Beach Marriott: Su & Ed Wedding

Su and Ed held their beautiful wedding on 11.20.10 at St Pius V Catholic Church and the Long Beach Marriott.  I had previously captured Ed’s cousin, Charlotte’s wedding at the church a few years back so it was a great seeing everyone again. What a great group. Charlotte  is now pregnant with twins!
