Shoreline Village: Su & Ed Engagement

I met Su and Edward from Charlotte and Kevin’s wedding a few years ago. Edward is Charlotte’s cousin. Congratulations to Charlotte & Kevin, by the way. She is about 12 weeks pregnant with   twins! I can’t wait for their baby session.

Su and Ed wanted a venue with good color and nice architecture, and also one that was close to the beach.  I’m always excited to shoot a session at Shoreline Village – there’s so much color and texture to explore. I push myself to search and capture new perspectives each time.

Priya 2nd Birthday

The adorable little girl below celebrated her second birthday this past Saturday. Priya stopped mid-stride carrying a slice of her birthday cake long enough for a photo opportunity.

Sophia had a blast at the party. I saw her chasing an older boy for a toy for the first time. She and the boy ran in circles around the kitchen. I didn’t catch her ever playing with the toy so I must assume she was more interested in the chasing game, or the boy himself?

Hilton Waterfront Beach Hotel: Katherine & Alex Wedding

National Public Radio did a segment on how people plan on celebrating the October 10, 2010, or 10/10/10 date.  A group of 9 nine years with birthdays on the 10th were all especially giddy and anxious for the auspicious date to arrive. One woman caller said that she would celebrate the day by having her wedding. I couldn’t help but smile and reflect on how apropos the moment was since I was driving the Katherine and Alex rehearsal for their wedding.

Katherine and Alex married on 10/10/10 at the Huntington Waterfront Beach Hotel. Weather for the morning ceremony could not have been more perfect with the clouds casting soft ambient light down on the couple.

The couple choose not to see one another until the ceremony and had booked adjacent hotel rooms.

Ahhh… look at the cute couple in the back.
