Janet & John Wedding: San Gabriel Hilton

Venue: San Gabriel Hilton

Hair/Make-up: EChou Makeup, Elaine

DJ/MC: Zuno Productions, Eugene

Lighting: InLight Lighting, Terry

Janet and John  were married this past Sunday at the beautiful San Gabriel Hilton hotel.  Janet and John are high-school sweethearts. Carol, a Bridesmaid told a cute story of how the couple discovered that they both lived a few doors down from one another since the age of five.

I managed to get a hotel staff to assist me in hanging the wedding gown off one of the lighting fixtures in the hotel lobby.

John is a USC alumni and wanted photographs taken on the campus.  As a UCLA alumni, I had to force myself to go to USC :) All kidding aside, USC is a beautiful campus with great architecture and a beautiful garden in the courtyard.

The ceremony was held outdoors on the third floor of the hotel.  John works as a field staffer for State Assembly Member, Mike Eng who presided as the Officiant for their wedding.

Congresswoman, Judy Chu, was on hand to sign the marriage certificate.

I caught my second photographer’s flash as he photographed the Bridesmaids watching the first dance. The reflection of the table cloth and back wall forms a perfect image of a heart!

It was a tearful moment when this surprised guest arrived during the reception.

Chan Clan: Huntington Library outing

Hey, check it out! Someone captured the elusive photographer in FRONT of the camera this time.

The Chan-Clan played host this weekend to a visiting Grandmother from New Zealand. Grandma has been here for over 2 months now and will return home in a week.  She visits for a few months at a time every other year or so.

The Huntington Library is a botanical garden and art collection covering over 207 acres in the San Gabriel Valley.  It is definitely a must-see if you in the area.

Alright,  Sophia and Daddy’s eyes are actually larger than they appear in the photograph. Even with the Sun against our backs, it was still awfully bright outside that afternoon.

Sophia: Halloween Costumes

Sophia’s first Halloween is approaching. She’s really excited and couldn’t wait to try on the two costumes that Mommy purchased for her. Sophia can’t decide which on she likes better. The tulle and glitter on the fairy costume is a bit uncomfortable and itchy. The pink monster costume is cute but Sophia thinks it makes her look fat.

What do you all think? Which one should Mommy keep for her?
